Agistment & Services
Kooringal is set up to take a thoroughbred at any stage of its life — and to keep it on the one farm through all of them.
Pastures of lucerne, clover and ryegrass, cement water troughs, double-fenced and tree-lined paddocks with shelter sheds, six yard systems and a laneway network — built up over four decades by Stuart and Penny Lamont and worked today by their sons.

Permanent & seasonal agistment
Pastures of lucerne, clover and ryegrass across double-fenced, tree-lined paddocks with cement water troughs and shelter sheds.

Foaling
Pre and post natal care in fully floodlit yards, watched around the clock by experienced staff with 24-hour veterinary support on the farm. Newborns are handled early using Control-A-Foal harnesses.

Weaning & handling
Young horses move through a gradual, low-stress program into pasture paddocks. Every foal gets a fortnight of intensive education with Peter Cowell of Conundrum Horse Handling, in three sets of rubber-lined steel yards.

Sale preparation
Yearlings go on a tailored diet and exercise program — stabling, grooming, hand-walking, walker exercise and turnout time — in the lead-up to auction.

Spelling & pre-training
Rest in small groups across 20–50 acre lucerne and clover paddocks, or paddock time combined with graduated exercise on the eight-horse Irongate walker. Programs typically run ninety days.

Veterinary care
Dr Andrew Lamont is resident on the farm through Riverina Equine Veterinary Services, specialising in equine reproduction.
