Exciting juvenile Tropical Squall provided a milestone moment for dual Group 1 winner Prized Icon.
Prized Icon celebrated his first winner at stud when Tropical Squall led throughout on debut at Canterbury on Wednesday (June 21).
Tropical Squall sported the well-known colours of Gooree Stud, which also raced Prized Icon throughout his $2.1 million career before he retired to Kooringal Stud.
The Gai Waterhouse-Adrian Bott filly was bred by Kooringal and sold for $16,000 at the 2021 National Weanling Sale.
Tropical Squall dominated favouritism at her first start after two impressive trial efforts.
Prized Icon, who backed up a Champagne Stakes win with VRC Derby glory, has had only a limited number of runners to date.
